Adagold Aviation Pty Ltd (Adagold) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 500th service in support of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Middle East Air Sustainment Services. For over a decade, Adagold has been providing scheduled charter flights, transporting personnel and equipment between Australia and the Middle East Region utilising a dedicated Airbus A340 aircraft.
Services have operated from Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Townsville, Adelaide and Darwin, providing reliable air service to and from the Middle East, for ADF personnel on deployment. The service has transported over 105,000 ADF members with over 4.2 million kilograms of baggage and a further 7.8 million kilograms of cargo.
During the ten years, the services have operated at a 98% on-time performance record which exceeds the industry average significantly, by over 10%. Logging over 16,680 hours of actual ‘air time’, the aircraft has spent the equivalent of almost two full years in the sky supporting the ADF.
