Project Location: Brisbane – Roma (Western Queensland)

Client Requirement

Ongoing transportation of staff working for a gas project in Western Queensland. Passenger numbers varied between 30 and 50 in each direction due to staff and rostering demands. Return services were required twice weekly, every Monday and Thursday.

Challenges

The client had a firm budget for the FIFO component of its project, therefore, sourcing the most suitable aircraft required an extensive search. The requirement was to provide better time efficiencies than regular passenger air transport and a cost saving.

Solutions

Following a market search across a range of aircraft and operators, Adagold Aviation sourced a Dash 8-300 aircraft, a reliable and versatile aircraft that suited our client’s requirements and provided cost savings. The client utilised Adagold Aviation’s Brisbane Jet Base which provided a seamless and efficient loading and unloading of the aircraft, as well as easy access for the passengers. Using ACAPS Global, simple manifesting and passenger changes were capable of being performed up to the last minute. A monthly report was provided to the client outlining exact staff movements, flight timings and associated costs.

Outcome

Our client has been extremely satisfied with all aspects of the FIFO charter with the cost benefits and the customer service provided by Adagold Aviation. 93% of all flights were on time and the remainder were within 15 minutes of scheduled times.

The client has now entered into a further contract with us.
