Winton

dinosaur discoveries, conservation and research. The region is
home to the only evidence of a dinosaur stampede on the planet,
and the fossil of a Muttaburrasaurus. Winton is also a destination
rich with Australian history and is known as the birthplace of
Waltzing Matilda and Qantas

Longreach

RA Short private jet flight south-east of Winton, you’ll arrive in Longreach.
Immerse yourself in Australian heritage and stunning scenery in
this unique outback town. Whether you want to discover the origins
of Qantas or learn about living on the land at the Stockman’s Hall
of Fame, we’re sure your day will be filled to the (Akubra) brim

Day Trip

 Explore Western Queensland in one day with Adagold Aviation.

Step aboard your private jet charter and depart Sunshine Coast Airport
at 7am. This short, two-hour private jet flight will take you to the heart of the
outback in Winton.

Arrive at the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum at 9.30am and
take a guided tour to the Lark Quarry Dinosaur Stampede.
Relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery as you stop for lunch.
Choose to take a picnic catered by Sofitel Noosa Resort or dine
at a local pub in Longreach. Spend the afternoon exploring
Longreach, visiting the Stockman’s Hall of Fame and the
Qantas Founders Museum.

At 2.30pm board your charter flight back to the Sunshine Coast. A private
transfer will take you back to the Sofitel Noosa Resort.

Waltzing Matilda Centre

Discover the story behind ‘Banjo’ Paterson’s bush ballad,
Waltzing Matilda. At this extraordinary museum, you’ll gain a unique insight into the story behind the music and the historical event it portrays.

Qantas Founders Museum

Interpretive displays, interactive exhibits and an extensive
aircraft collection share the founding story of Qantas. Here, you’ll be able to discover the journey of Qantas from its
beginnings in 1920, as well as tour 747 and 707 jets. And, if you’re up for an adventure, you can see the aircraft from a different point of view with a walk along the wing of a 747.

Stockman’s Hall of Fame

Known as Australia’s premier outback heritage institution, the Stockman’s Hall of Fame provides a spectacular outback experience. The centre is split into five themed galleries displaying the history of some of Australia’s greatest stock workers, explorers and pastoralists. The museum houses an extraordinary collection of unique objects and images with touch screens and audiovisual presentations to guide you through displays.

Then, see the story of stockmen and women come to life at the Outback Stockman’s Show. Featuring trick horses, working dogs, a bull and much more, the show depicts the harsh, rugged and sometimes humorous reality of life on the land.
